1. Squats

Squats are a very powerful yet overlooked exercise when it comes to building legs. Squats are as simple as they sound. All you have to do is stand up straight, bend your legs all the way down with your back up straight until you reach your ankles, and then get back up. You can do three sets of a certain amount of reps. Squats can be done empty handed, or with weights. Among the muscles that squats build in your legs are quadriceps and hamstrings. They build other muscles as well. They help add power which can improve your ability to jump and other activities.

2. Good Mornings

Good mornings are another type of exercise that you can do to build your legs. This not only builds your leg muscles, but also adds flexibility to your body. The best way to get started is to get in your squat stance and stand in front of a wall leaving six inches between you and the wall. The next step is to push out your hips behind you until your butt gets into contact with the wall. Make sure that your spine is in neutral position. Only allow a slight arch to your spine. Make sure your knees stay in place directly above the ankles. After that, then you should add 2 inches worth of distance between you and the wall and then do the same exercise. The steps should be repeated until your hips are completely out of place and your hamstrings are stretched.
